Tom Taylor

Tom Taylor, J.D., Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Tom began their career as an Attorney at Snell & Wilmer and Snow, Christensen & Martineau from 1990 to 1995. Following this, they transitioned into the role of Minister at the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) from 1995 to 2007. From 2007 to 2010, they served as the Chief Operations Officer at the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Taylor then joined Fuller Theological Seminary as an Adjunct Professor from 2005 to 2017. In 2010, they assumed the position of President & CEO at the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) Foundation.

Tom Taylor, J.D., Ph.D., has a diverse educational background. Tom obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree with honors in History from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. Following this, they pursued a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree in Religion/Religious Studies at Yale University.

Continuing their academic journey, Tom proceeded to Fuller Theological Seminary, where they earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Intercultural Studies. Subsequently, they enrolled at the University of Illinois College of Law to specialize in Law, completing their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.

In addition to their academic achievements, Tom obtained a certification in scuba diving, known as PADI scuba certification, in 1979. Notably, they briefly attended RWTH Aachen University in 1983, where they studied the German Language and earned a PNdS (specifics unknown).
