Genna Duplisea

Genna Duplisea is an experienced archivist and special collections librarian currently serving as an Archivist at The Preservation Society of Newport County since January 2023 and as an Associate with Backlog Archivists and Historians since August 2022. Previously, Genna managed all operations of the university archives and special collections at Salve Regina University for nearly nine years and contributed to various archival projects at prestigious institutions including the Radcliffe Institute for Advanced Study at Harvard University and Houghton Library. Genna's academic background includes a Master's degree in Archives Management from Simmons University and a Bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Sociology from Bowdoin College, complemented by an enriching experience studying at The University of Edinburgh. Throughout the professional journey, Genna has demonstrated a commitment to promoting effective records management practices, archival processing, and digitization while providing educational support to academic departments.
