Mario Rothmund

Mario Rothmund, CPA, MBA, MAcc, currently serves as an Inspection Leader at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) since January 2016, following a decade-long tenure at EY where roles included Senior Manager in Transaction Advisory Services and Assurance. Mario possesses extensive experience in applying complex accounting standards across the US and European markets and has evaluated numerous business transactions. Prior roles include contributing to internal audits at Dynamit Nobel AG in France and leading post-merger management projects at Geese Marzano SA in Paris. Academically, Mario holds a MACC and MBA in Accounting & Finance from Bowling Green State University, as well as degrees from NEOMA Business School and Reutlingen University, reflecting a strong foundation in management and economics.
