Lauren Lawson-Zilai

Lauren Lawson-Zilai is the Director at The Public Relations Society of America-National Capital Chapter. Lauren has also served on the Advisory Board and as a Contributing Writer for Ragan Communications and PR Daily. Prior to their current role, Lauren spent 15 years at Goodwill Industries International, where they served as the Senior Director of Public Relations and Communications and National Spokesperson, Director of Public Relations, Media Relations Manager, and Media Relations Specialist. Lauren has also been a Member of the Board of Advisors for the National Digital Roundtable and President of PRSA National Capital Chapter. In addition, they have worked as a Public Relations Manager for Food Allergy Research & Education and as a Media Relations Manager - Consultant for The Children's Defense Fund. Her other roles include Publicity Manager for Eagle Publishing and Associate Publicist for Hachette Book Group. Lauren started their career in publicity as a Publicity Assistant for Penguin Group (USA) Inc.
