The Pueblo Chieftain
James Bartolo is an experienced journalist specializing in education reporting, currently serving as an Education Reporter for The Pueblo Chieftain since September 2021. Bartolo co-founded Our Pueblo in August 2020, focusing on online marketing for local businesses. Previous roles include Reporter positions at La Junta Tribune Democrat and PULP Colorado, as well as freelance work for Colorado Times Recorder. Bartolo's journalism career began at The Pueblo Chieftain, where a significant internship led to a full-time City Reporter role, culminating in a six-part series on historic buildings in Pueblo. Bartolo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Colorado State University Pueblo, earned in 2020.
