Youth Capacity Building Lead, USAID Youth Development Activity in Turkmenistan at The QED Group

Hemra Atabayev has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Hemra started their career as a Community Development Specialist at UNDP in 2008 and later became a Manager for the Energy Policy Project in 2010. In 2011, they worked as a Representative for Pan Plan, where they promoted energy efficiency initiatives in Turkmenistan and provided administrative and logistic support. Hemra then joined RWE Dea AG as a Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment Manager from 2011 to 2013, where they supported the company's social commitments and stakeholder engagement activities. Hemra later transitioned to the role of Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at RWE Dea AG, where they designed and implemented CSR policies, developed social infrastructure projects, and established strong relationships with government and civil society organizations. Hemra also worked as a Representative for Ramboll Management Consulting and ITA - Italian Trade Agency before starting their role as a Youth Specialist at JA Worldwide in 2017. Most recently, they have been serving as the Youth Capacity Building Lead at Q2 Impact for the USAID Youth Development Activity in Turkmenistan.

Hemra Atabayev completed their education in the field of Labour Economy and Labour Market from the Turkmen Institute of National Economy. Hemra attended the institute from 1998 to 2002 and received a diploma upon completion.
