Head Of Quality And Clinical Governance at The Ralph (Veterinary Referral Centre)

Ru Clements has a diverse work experience starting from 2010. Ru began as a PhD student in Equine Immunology at The University of Edinburgh and also held the role of Senior Women's Co-Captain at the Edinburgh University Boat Club. In 2014, they joined LEC (an OPEN Health company) as a Senior Science Writer. From 2017 onwards, Ru has been involved in various roles and companies including founding partner at VetLed, co-founder at RubyDuke, and as a freelance Scientific Strategist and Senior Creative Medical Copywriter. Currently, they are the Head of Quality and Clinical Governance at The Ralph (Veterinary Referral Centre) and also serves as the Champion of Culture, Community, and Innovation.

Ru Clements has a strong education history in the field of veterinary science. They earned a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Veterinary Microbiology and Immunobiology from The University of Edinburgh from 2010 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine at the same institution from 2005 to 2010.

Before attending university, Ru Clements attended Skipton Girls' High School. From 2003 to 2005, they completed their A Levels, focusing on Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Maths, and General Studies. They then completed their GCSE's from 1998 to 2003, which included subjects such as English literature, English language, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Food Technology, French, German, and History.
