Chief Analytics Officer at The RealReal

Frank Zhu is the Chief Analytics Officer at The RealReal. Prior to their current role, they served as the VP of Product Analytics at Walmart eCommerce from October 2016 to January 2021. In this role, they led the product analytics team in Walmart Product Org and was responsible for measuring and optimizing customer facing product flows and customer journeys. Frank also established and grew a data-driven culture and process within the organization.

Before Walmart, Frank was the Senior Director of Business Analytics at eBay from August 2007 to September 2016. In this role, they led analytics for three MarketPlaces initiatives: Seller, Shipping, and Structured Data. Prior to eBay, Frank worked as a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst at Commerce Bank from November 2003 to August 2007, where they provided strategic marketing intelligence to corporate & regional marketing, business/product lines, and 200+ branches.

Earlier in their career, Frank worked as a Research Statistician at IRI from June 2000 to November 2003 and as a Manager of Shipping Operations at China Merchants Group from July 1994 to September 1998.

Frank Zhu went to Shanghai Maritime University for their Bachelor's Degree, where they studied International Shipping Management and minored in Computer Science. Frank then furthered their education by getting their Master's Degree in Marketing Research from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. To top it all off, they have a certification from SAS in SAS V8 Certified Programmer.
