James Ashurst

James Ashurst serves as the Executive Vice President at the RV Industry Association, overseeing teams responsible for key organizational functions including Finance, IT, Membership Relations, Consumer and Industry Research, Communications, Events, and Marketing. With a strong background in communications and marketing, James previously held the role of Senior Vice President of Communications and Marketing within the same association, where responsibilities included leading the Go RVing consumer market expansion program. Before joining the RV Industry Association, James served as Vice President of Communications at Travel Channel International, where oversight included all communications efforts and media relations for the brand. Earlier positions include Director of Communications at Discovery Communications, where leadership contributed to the growth of the Travel Channel, and Senior Director of Communications at the Satellite Broadcasting and Communications Association. James holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Radford University.
