Simon Timmis

Simon Timmis is a seasoned technology and utility management professional with extensive experience in leading innovative projects and teams within major organizations. Currently serving as Senior Director of Technology Utilities and Metering at Red Sea Global, Simon is instrumental in establishing one of the world's first fully off-grid and renewable utility companies. Previous roles include Director IoT at Expo 2020 Dubai, where Simon oversaw the implementation of critical smart technologies, and ICT Director with CH2M for the Dubai Expo 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar. Simon's early career includes key positions at Thames Water and ARM Utilities, focusing on engineering and project management. A graduate of the University of Staffordshire with a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Aided Engineering, Simon combines technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive advancements in smart city technologies and utility services.
