Wayne Carney

Wayne Carney has an extensive work experience in the accounting and finance field, primarily within the hospitality industry. Wayne currently holds the position of Head of Accounting at Red Sea Global since September 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Senior Vice President of Hotel Accounting and Finance at Crestline Hotels & Resorts from December 2021 to September 2023. From October 2015 to December 2021, they were the Vice President of Hotel Accounting and Finance at Crestline Hotels and Resorts.

Before joining Crestline, Wayne worked as the Vice President of Financial Services at Hersha Hospitality from July 2012 to September 2015. Wayne also had a significant role at Dolce Hotels & Resorts as the Vice President of Property Finance from November 2010 to June 2012. In this position, they were responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of Dolce's portfolio, including hotels and conference centers in North America and Europe.

In addition to their corporate roles, Wayne also worked as a Principal at Carney Financial Consulting, where they provided financial consulting services to the hospitality industry between May 2010 and November 2010.

Earlier in their career, Wayne held various accounting and finance positions within Marriott International, starting in 1982 until 2010. Notably, they served as the Regional Senior Director of Finance at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company LLC from April 2007 to April 2010, where they were responsible for 21 hotels and resorts in the Southeast US, Caribbean, and Latin America.

Wayne's career also includes roles at Marriott Wardman Park Hotel as the Director of Finance from February 2003 to April 2006, and at Renaissance Mayflower Hotel as the Director of Finance from May 1998 to February 2004. In these positions, they focused on financial reporting, controls, and enhancing owner relations.

Wayne Carney earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Duquesne University between 1978 and 1982. Wayne later pursued an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) in Business at Loyola University Maryland from 2005 to 2007.
