Alec Dietz

Alec Dietz is an experienced sports reporter currently working at The Register-Guard since July 2023. Previously, Alec held similar positions at The Chronicle in Centralia, Washington, and served as Sports Editor at Ellensburg Daily Record. Alec's background includes a role as Communications & Stats Specialist for the Seattle Storm, and significant involvement with The Daily UW, where responsibilities included editing, publishing, and covering various sports while maintaining an active social media presence. Alec has also interned at notable organizations such as The News Tribune and KING 5 Media Group. Alec earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from the University of Washington in 2020.
