Brenda Hausauer

Regional Coordinator at The Regulatory Assistance Project

Brenda Hausauer coordinates the work of RAP’s U.S. team, which provides power sector expertise in the states. Ms. Hausauer serves as a project manager for many U.S. projects, provides research on energy topics, co-authors papers, assists with grant management and reporting, and coordinates the comprehensive planning and organizational efforts of the U.S. team. She joined RAP in 2007 as a research and policy analyst, providing analysis for many publications, conducting research, and contributing to team projects.

Earlier in her career, she worked as a policy analyst and planner for the Vermont Department of Public Service, developing the state’s Comprehensive Energy Plan. Ms. Hausauer also served as a local zoning and planning administrator, as well as a researcher and writer for several Vermont-based energy and land use planning nonprofits.

Ms. Hausauer earned a bachelor’s in English from Luther College and a master’s in environmental philosophy from Colorado State University.
