Zsuzsanna Pató advises policymakers, advocates, think tanks and other stakeholders on issues related to energy efficiency, power market design, demand response and tariff design for RAP’s Europe programme. She has extensive experience in power market regulatory issues and a proven project record at both the EU level and the regional level in Central and Eastern Europe and Southeast Europe.
Before joining RAP in 2018, Dr. Pató worked as a researcher and senior researcher at the Regional Center for Energy Policy Research (REKK), a Budapest-based think tank. Her work focused on energy efficiency policy, renewable energy regulation, smart networks, power market modelling and market design.
Dr. Pató earned several postgraduate qualifications, including a master’s degree in economics from the Budapest University of Economics, a master’s in environmental science and policy from Central European University, and a doctorate in international relations from Central European University.
