K. Kamanani Conklin, MPH, currently serves as an APHA-Kaiser Permanente Community Health Fellow at the American Public Health Association, focusing on health equity projects in Kaiser Permanente-served communities. Conklin also works as a Farm to Food Bank Consultant for the Hawai‘i Public Health Institute, managing projects aimed at improving food banking policies for Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. Experience includes roles as a Food Systems Policy Researcher at The Research Corporation of the University of Hawai'i, a Healthcare Program Consultant for Greener by Default, and a Chair of the Berkeley Food Institute Graduate Council. Conklin has held internships involving nutrition policy at the Center for Science in the Public Interest and public health analysis at the San Francisco Department of Public Health. Education includes a Master of Public Health in Public Health Nutrition & Food Systems from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College.
