Lauren Cole (Staake) has a diverse work experience spanning different organizations and roles. Lauren started their career in 2004 at the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation & Historic Preservation as a Payroll Administrator. In 2008, they worked as a Recruiter at Macy's before joining Peconic Bay Medical Center and Health System in 2009 as a Payroll Representative. From 2011 to 2013, they served as the Manager of Administrative Support Services at Columbia University in the City of New York. Lauren then joined The Research Foundation for SUNY in 2014 and progressed through various roles including Human Resources Associate, Assistant Director, Associate Director of Human Resources, and currently holds the position of Director, Research Foundation Human Resources starting in March 2022.
Lauren Cole (Staake) obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in English Language and Literature, General from SUNY Oneonta. Lauren pursued their studies at this institution from 2004 to 2008.

The Research Foundation for the State University of New York (RF) is the largest, most comprehensive university-connected research foundation in the country. It exists to serve the State University of New York (SUNY) by providing essential sponsored programs administration and innovation support services to SUNY faculty, students and staff who perform life-changing research in life sciences and medicine; engineering and nanotechnology; physical sciences and energy; social sciences; and computer and information sciences.
