Sarah Schlagter serves as the Associate Vice President for Policy and Regulatory Affairs at The Research Foundation for SUNY since January 2024. Prior to this role, Sarah spent nearly nine years at Cornell University, holding multiple positions including Director of Research Integrity and Security and Export Control Officer, where responsibilities encompassed managing export control matters, drafting and negotiating contracts, and conducting training for research staff. Previously, Sarah gained extensive experience at BAE Systems, first as a Contract Administrator and later as a Contract Administrator/Manager, focusing on federal regulations and contract negotiations. Additional legal experience includes serving as an attorney in civil litigation and contract negotiations, providing a strong foundation in law and compliance. Sarah holds a Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature and Political Science from SUNY Oneonta.
