Gabriel Barrientos

Gabriel Barrientos is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in strategic partnerships and global engagement, currently serving as the Director of Special Projects & Partnerships at The Rockefeller Foundation since March 2025. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Associate Director at APCO Worldwide, where Gabriel managed client accounts and developed global engagement strategies for various high-profile events, and as COP27 Programmatic Lead, directing initiatives focused on just-energy transition. Gabriel's prior positions also include Senior Manager of Partnerships at Concordia, where Gabriel led partnerships across multiple sectors, and a Teaching Assistant role at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs. Gabriel's academic background includes a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts in Global Development Studies from the University of Virginia.
