Oliver Glanville

Oliver Glanville is a seasoned professional in carbon markets and environmental governance, currently serving as the Head of Programmes for the Africa Carbon Markets Initiative at The Rockefeller Foundation since September 2024. Oliver also holds the position of Director at Substrate Biochar and previously led programmes for the Africa Carbon Markets Initiative at The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP). with a focus on scaling high integrity carbon markets in Africa. Oliver’s experience includes consulting at McKinsey & Company, where work centered on decarbonisation strategies across the UK, Europe, and the Middle East. As a board member of Ascend: Leadership Through Athletics, Oliver contributes to empowering young women through mountaineering-based training. Oliver’s educational background includes an MSc in Nature, Society and Environmental Governance and a BA in Geography, both from the University of Oxford.
