Jean-Pierre Van Onselen

JP van Onselen is a Director and the Chief Financial Officer of Ethos Capital. He is based in Cape Town, South Africa.

Prior to joining TRG in April 2023, Mr. van Onselen held the same role at Ethos Private Equity, which was acquired by TRG.

Launched in 2016, Ethos Capital is a “first-in-class” permanent private equity capital investment vehicle that is domiciled in Mauritius and listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange. Mr. van Onselen joined shortly after its launch and has played a key role in establishing it. Prior to joining Ethos, Mr. van Onselen was employed by HgCapital, a private equity buyout firm in London, as their Head of Finance.

Mr. van Onselen is a CA (SA) having completed his articles at Ernst & Young.
