Tanya Gibbs

Tanya Gibbs is a Director and member of the Tax team serving as a Senior Tax Manager. She is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Before joining TRG in April 2023, Ms. Gibbs was a Senior Manager: Tax for Ethos Private Equity, which was acquired by TRG. She previously worked at Brait for 17 years initially as the Financial Manager and, most recently, leading their Tax function prior to Brait merging with Ethos. Ms. Gibbs has intimate knowledge of tax structures, shareholding transactions and private equity fund and investment team structures.

Ms. Gibbs is a Chartered Accountant, CA(SA) having completed her articles at KPMG Johannesburg. She has a Batchelor of Commerce (cum laude) and a Batchelor of Accounting, both from the University of the Witwatersrand.
