William Allen is an experienced educational professional currently serving as the Senior Strategic Lead for School Improvement at The Romero Catholic Academy since March 2022 and as Vice Principal at Good Shepherd Catholic Primary School Coventry since September 2018, where responsibilities also include leading Year 6, English, raising standards, pupil premium, and wider curriculum redevelopment. Prior to these roles, William worked as a Specialist Leader of Education at St Augustine's Teaching School, focusing on Pupil Premium, English, and Data support, and held teaching positions at Clifford Bridge Academy and Middlemarch School, where leadership included roles in PE and Science. William holds an MSc in Project Management from the University of Birmingham and a BSc in Business Management from Cardiff University. Additionally, experience includes establishing a sports coaching company and serving as Camp Coach and Camp Director with Challenger Sports from 2003 to 2010.

The Romero Catholic Academy exists to secure 3-19 Catholic Education in Coventry. They are a multi-academy company and an integral part of the Catholic Archdiocese of Birmingham; their founders are the Barberi and Newman Academy Trust. They work closely with the Diocesan Department of Education, the Local Authority, the Department for Education, their local academies and schools, local business and commerce, and the wider community.
