Colleen Hill has over 29 years of work experience in the education field, starting in 1992. Colleen was a 5th-grade teacher at First Lutheran School of Northridge from 1992 to 1995, where they focused on classroom instruction and developed a creative classroom management program. From 1995 to 1997, Colleen worked at Simi Elementary School as a 4th-grade GATE cluster teacher, providing instruction and support to a diverse group of students. Colleen then joined the Simi Valley Unified School District in 1997 as a Reading Teacher, where they developed and implemented reading curriculum for grades 1-6. Colleen's role involved working with students individually and in small groups to improve their reading skills, as well as collaborating with classroom teachers and parents.
In 2014, Colleen joined HTLC as the Sunday School Coordinator, responsible for developing and operating a children's education ministry program. Their duties included curriculum development, staff coordination, and program administration. Since 2015, Colleen has been working at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library Foundation and Institute. Colleen started as an Education Supervisor, overseeing the daily operations and future development of the Air Force One Discovery Center, and coordinating staff training. In 2018, Colleen became the Manager of School Programs, and in 2022, they were promoted to the Associate Director of Education.
Colleen Hill obtained a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from California Lutheran University, graduating in 1991. In 2017 and 2018, they pursued Museology/Museum Studies at Northwestern University, although the degree was not specified. Colleen also earned a Teaching Credential from California Lutheran University in 1992, with the credential being current until March 2015-2020. Additionally, they obtained a Professional Chef Certificate from the Westlake Culinary Institute, completing the Professional Chef Course.
