Carla Watson

Carla Watson is an experienced professional in the museum and heritage sector, currently serving as the Education and Public Programming Officer at The Rooms Corporation, Provincial Archives Division since June 2021. Previous roles include Visitor Services at the Museum of Natural History and Heritage Interpreter positions at both the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic and Mount Uniacke Estate Park and Museum, where responsibilities encompassed educational programming, interpretive tours, and tourism information. Carla also served as Museum Manager at Admiralty House Communications Museum and Archives, overseeing daily operations, collections management, and public programming. Additional experience includes an internship at The Rooms Corporation focusing on a First World War exhibit, and roles in academia as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Western University and Education Coordinator at the Museum of Antiquities. Carla holds a Master of Arts in Public/Applied History from Western University and a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Saskatchewan.
