The Rooms Portland, Maine are four well-known restaurants owned by award-winning head chef and restaurateur Harding Lee Smith. They include The Grill Room (www.thegrillroomandbar.com), The Front Room (www.thefrontroomrestaurant.com), The Corner Room (www.thecornerroomkitchenandbar), and the latest addition Boone's Fish House & Oyster Room (www.boonesfishhouse.com). The fourth addition to "The Rooms ME" collection features a two-story newly renovated waterfront restaurant, bar and event venue for up to 200 guests. The Rooms Portland, Maine restaurants feature fresh caught seafood, locally sourced Maine market vegetables and farm raised meats. The restaurants have earned fame through a number of publications, which include Down East Magazine, Portland Magazine, The Portland Phoenix, Portland Press Herald and more. Local Maine native Harding Lee Smith graduated from Portland's Deering High School and earned his bachelor of science degree from Boston University. He attended the Culinary Institute of America's West Coast Campus in the San Francisco Bay Area (Napa Valley, Calif.) and has experience all over the world. His knowledge has been gained from his apprenticeship in Venice, Italy, experience as chef at several well-known restaurants in Maui, Hawaii, and more. With all of his knowledge and talent, he returned to his roots in Portland, Maine, where he embarked and fulfilled his dream of opening a restaurant (or four) of his own.
