Rhiannon Watkinson

Community Engagement Manager at The Royal Air Force Museum

Rhiannon Watkinson is an experienced professional in the museum sector, currently serving as Community Engagement Manager and previously as Heritage Outreach Officer at The Royal Air Force Museum since August 2018. Prior to this role, Rhiannon worked at The Museum of English Rural Life as Audience Development Project Officer, where responsibilities included engaging local community groups to expand the museum's visitor profile, and as Assistant Volunteer Coordinator, managing around a hundred volunteers across multiple sites. Earlier experience includes serving as Exhibition Assistant at The Florence Nightingale Museum, where responsibilities involved invigilating a temporary exhibition on the treatment of wounded servicemen. Rhiannon holds a Master’s Degree in Museology/Museum Studies from the University of Leicester, a Master’s Degree in Nineteenth Century Studies from King's College London, and a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature from the University of Portsmouth.
