Jyoti Sapkota

Jyoti Sapkota is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in emergency planning and disaster management. Currently serving as a Resilience and Contingency Planning Officer at the London Borough of Hounslow since August 2014 and as an Emergency Planning Officer at the Royal Borough of Kingston since January 2012, Jyoti has a proven track record in developing emergency procedures and training staff in emergency planning and business continuity. Previous roles include Emergency Planning Officer at the Tyne and Wear Emergency Planning Unit, where responsibilities included preparing and updating emergency plans, and Project Officer at the United Nations Development Programme, focusing on disaster project management and gender mainstreaming in disaster management. Jyoti holds an MSc in Disaster and Development from Northumbria University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
