Sarah Ireland

Sarah Ireland is an experienced executive with a comprehensive background in local government and education. Currently serving as Chief Executive at the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames since April 2018, Sarah leads corporate and community initiatives and oversees finance and governance. Previous roles include Non Executive Director at Octavo Partnership, where innovative solutions for education support were developed, and Director of Commissioning & Improvement at Croydon Council, focusing on strategic commissioning and social value maximization. Sarah also held various leadership positions at Croydon Council, including Director of Strategy, Commissioning, Procurement & Performance and Director of Performance. Sarah holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Cardiff University.
