Natalie Wilder has a diverse work experience in the field of corporate communications and publishing. Natalie started their career as a Staff Editor at the Society for General Microbiology, where they handled copy-editing, proof checking, and compiled issues. Natalie later moved on to become the Managing Editor of the Journal of General Virology, where they were responsible for editorial office management, including peer review and production processes. Natalie also had a role as an Editor at Oxford PharmaGenesis. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Corporate Communications and Publishing at the Royal College of Physicians, where they manage the production and publication of various publications and provides guidance to authors on writing, editing, and house style.
Natalie Wilder completed their education in a chronological order. Natalie pursued their A-levels in Biology, Chemistry, Maths with Statistics, and General Studies at King Edward VI High School for Girls from 1988 to 1995. Natalie then attended the University of Oxford from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a degree in Biochemistry (MBiochem, 2:1). Following this, Natalie went on to pursue a PhD in Virus Molecular Genetics at UCL from 1999 to 2002.
In terms of additional certifications, Natalie obtained a Certificate Level 5 in Leadership and Management from the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) in January 2016.
