Alexandra Zimmermann

Alexandra Zimmermann is an accomplished academic and conservation professional, currently serving as an Associate Professor, Senior Research Fellow, and Senior Research Associate at the University of Oxford since 2014. Zimmermann holds leadership roles as the Chair of the IUCN Species Survival Commission's Human-Wildlife Conflict & Coexistence Specialist Group and Director of Negotiating Coexistence, starting in 2024. Additional positions include Specialist Advisor for The Royal Commission for AlUla and FAO, and a member of the Board of Directors for the Arabian Leopard Fund. As Specialty Chief Editor for Frontiers in Conservation Science since 2020, Zimmermann previously contributed to wildlife conservation at Chester Zoo and the Wildlife Conservation Society.
