James Robertson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in sales and management within the automotive and event sectors. Currently serving as the Commercial Partnership Manager for The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo since July 2022, James plays a key role in acquiring new commercial partners and was part of a team awarded by the European Sponsorship Association for Arts & Culture Sponsorship in 2023. Previous positions include a successful tenure as a Sales Consultant for both Ferrari and Lamborghini at Sytner Group, where achievements included being part of the top sales team in the UK and winning individual sales competitions. Additional experience includes a role as a Sales Executive at Mercedes-Benz of Edinburgh and participation in a Graduate Management Program at Pendragon PLC. James has also served in the RAF Reserves and is currently a Reservist Officer with the British Army. Educational credentials include an Honour's Degree in Business and Events Management from Queen Margaret University and ongoing military training at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, stages an annual event on the Esplanade of Edinburgh Castle each August. The show runs for 25 shows and sees over 800 performers take to the Esplanade each 90 minute show. Each year 220,000 people see the event live and a further 100 million see it on TV worldwide.
