Martine Parnell

Martine Parnell is the current Director of Members, Marketing & Digital at The Royal Horticultural Society. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Encore Tickets Limited from June 2015 to March 2019. Parnell has also held the position of Chief Marketing Officer Interim at FAIRFX from January 2015 to May 2015, and Marketing Director at Zopa from October 2011 to April 2014.

Parnell is responsible for customer and revenue growth, and has led the Product, Marketing and Customer Services teams. Under their leadership, Zopa saw 5x growth in business, £500m lent to UK consumers, and a 89% increase in brand awareness. The company also successfully raised funds twice during their tenure. Her responsibilities include marketing strategy, branding, UX and customer experience, insight and product development, customer acquisition and retention, PR, digital and offline comms: TV, Print, PPC, SEO, Content, CRM, Display, and pricing.

Martine Parnell has won several awards for their work in the industry, including the Techcity Future Fifty Award Winner, Best Customer Services (Moneyfacts 2014), Best Personal Loan Provider (Moneyfacts 2014), and Most Trusted Personal Loan Provider (Moneywise 2010-2013).

Martine Parnell studied Modern Languages at the University of Cambridge, focusing on French and German.
