Andrew Biankin is a distinguished academic and clinical leader in oncology and surgery, currently serving as the Regius Professor of Surgery and Director of the Wolfson Wohl Cancer Research Centre at the University of Glasgow, alongside roles as Director of the Glasgow Precision Oncology Laboratory and Honorary Consultant Surgeon at Glasgow Royal Infirmary. In addition to founding and directing Gabriel Precision Oncology, Andrew holds the position of Executive Director at ICGC ARGO and is a Clinician Scientist funded by Cancer Research UK. Andrew is recognized as a Fellow of both the Academy of Medical Sciences and the Royal Society of Edinburgh. Further contributions to the field include chairing the Precision-Panc platform for pancreatic cancer and previously serving as Chairperson of the Scientific Advisory Board at Cambridge Cancer Genomics. Andrew's educational background includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. from the Garvan Institute of Medical Research, as well as medical degrees from UNSW and surgical training with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
