Katie McDonald is an experienced archivist and records officer with a strong background in managing archival collections and facilitating public access to historical materials. Currently serving as the Archivist and Records Officer at the Royal Society of Edinburgh since January 2022, Katie previously held positions at the University of Glasgow, including Archive Cataloguer and Project Assistant for the Great War Project, where responsibilities involved cataloguing diverse collections and researching historical entries. Additional roles include Archivist at West Dunbartonshire Council, Archive Assistant at Aberdeen Journals, and an internship at the British Museum. Katie holds an MSc in Information Management and Preservation (Archives and Records Management) and an MA(Hons) in History, both from the University of Glasgow.
