Pauline Martinson

Director, Philanthropy Advisor at The San Diego Foundation

As Director, Philanthropy Advisor, Pauline works with donors to fully leverage the impact of their giving, increase donor-advised fund giving and help donors make an impact on issues they care about. Leveraging more than a decade of nonprofit development and relationship-building with San Diego donors, she helps grow philanthropy throughout the region.

Previously, Pauline served as Executive Director of I Love A Clean San Diego (ILACSD) for 12 years. During her tenure, the organization engaged more than 76,000 San Diegans annually through countywide cleanups and environmental education to preserve and enhance San Diego’s natural environment. Before her time at ILACSD, she worked in corporate event planning, and sales, and taught scuba diving here in San Diego.

As a result of her leadership, she has been chosen as one of San Diego’s top “40 under 40,” by San Diego Metro and SD Business Journal’s “Women Who Mean Business.”

Pauline earned a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
