Doug Verkaaik

Doug Verkaaik has over four decades of experience in the journalism industry, serving as a columnist for The San Diego Union-Tribune since March 1978. At U-T San Diego, Verkaaik holds the position of dining columnist and advertising coordinator, along with responsibilities as a dining and entertainment coordinator and columnist. Doug Verkaaik earned a bachelor's degree in broadcasting from California State University, Long Beach, between 1968 and 1972.
