Douglas Zimmerman is an accomplished photographer and online photo editor with extensive experience in visual content creation for various media outlets. Currently with SFGATE since September 2006, Douglas delivers impactful photography for online stories and breaking news. As the owner of Douglas Zimmerman Photography since April 2006, services include photographing for major publications and corporate clients. Prior roles include staff photographer at the Los Angeles Times and the San Francisco Business Times, and online photo producer at The New York Times. Douglas holds a BA in Journalism with a concentration in Photojournalism from San Francisco State University, as well as a background in print journalism.
