Garrett Leahy

Garrett Leahy is a reporter at The San Francisco Standard since June 2022, with prior experience as a freelance journalist covering significant stories for multiple publications. Notable articles include coverage of a leading drag venue closure and ICE arrests at courthouses. Previous roles include demand management representative at Spotinst, contributing writer for Lamorinda Weekly, and staff writer for the San Francisco Foghorn. Garrett engaged in community-focused initiatives through work with the Coalition on Homelessness and gained customer service experience at Walgreens. A graduate of the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor's Degree in Politics, Garrett is currently pursuing additional education at City College of San Francisco.
