David Cohn is currently the president at The San Francisco. David has previously worked as the executive producer at AJ+ from October 2014 to October 2015. During their time there, they were responsible for the strategic vision, product development roadmap, and resource management for the launch of a new video production organization product on mobile and web, tailored for social media. David also revitalized the internal broadcast team of 15+ global staff through relationship management, talent development, and employee engagement. In addition, they drove processes for customer feedback, objectives, team performance, and OKRs. Furthermore, they grew the AJ+ startup from scratch to Top 10 video publisher on Facebook worldwide.
Before AJ+, David Cohn worked as the chief content officer at Circa 1605, Inc. from April 2012 to November 2014 where they were instrumental in bringing a unique mobile phone news app and Content Management System to life, which influenced an entire industry and pioneered “structured content.” David enabled a new editorial approach to cover breaking news by building a product that allowed users to follow stories. David also built and managed a global team of 12 providing 24/7 coverage of impactful and relevant stories. The app was highlighted as one of the “Best News Apps” by Apple in 2013.
David Cohn attended Columbia University - Graduate School of Journalism, where they received their Master of Science in Journalism. Prior to that, they attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they received their B.A. in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies and Bachelor's degree in Philosophy. David also has a certification from Coursera in Google Project Management Certificate.
