The Sanchaya
Ronilo Perez is an experienced wine sommelier currently serving as the Estate Wine Sommelier at The Sanchaya since June 2023. Prior to this role, Ronilo held the position of Cluster Chief Sommelier at Villa Hotels & Resorts from August 2022 to June 2023. Ronilo's extensive career in the hospitality industry includes significant roles such as Head Sommelier at Finolhu Baa Atoll, Jumeirah Vitavelli and Spa Maldives, and Niyama Private Islands Maldives, as well as Resident Sommelier at Hilton Maldives Irufushi. Additionally, Ronilo co-owned Shadiyah Bar and Sisha Lounge and worked as a Senior Wine Sommelier at One&Only Reethi Rah. Ronilo Perez earned a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from the Philippine Maritime Institute, completing the degree in March 2007.
