Janaka Edirisooriya

Janaka Edirisooriya, MBA has over 25 years of experience in the banking industry. Janaka has held various roles at multiple banks, including The Saudi Investment Bank and SABB. Starting in 1994, Janaka began their career at Commercial Bank of Ceylon Ltd as a Junior Executive Assistant in Corporate Banking. Janaka then worked their way up to roles such as Assistant Relationship Manager and Executive Officer. In 2007, Janaka joined SABB as a Relationship Manager in Global Banking and eventually became a Senior Credit Manager, overseeing credit approvals and policy documents. Janaka also worked as a Senior Manager in Business Credit & Risk, responsible for the regional credit risk function in the Central Province Area. In 2018, Janaka joined The Saudi Investment Bank as the Head of Credit Risk Monitoring and later became the Head of Risk Analytics & Monitoring. Overall, Janaka has a strong background in credit risk management and has demonstrated leadership and expertise in the banking sector.

Janaka Edirisooriya, MBA completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Wales, Cardiff in 2010. Prior to that, they obtained a Diploma in Credit Management from the Institute of Bankers of Sri Lanka in 2002. Their college education was completed at Dharmaraja College, Kandy, Sri Lanka from 1980 to 1992.
