Jim Potts has extensive work experience in the legal and finance industry. Jim (James) is currently serving as the Chief Legal Officer, Senior Vice President, and Corporate Secretary at The Savings Group, where they lead a team of over 1,000 members across offices in Austin and Denver. Prior to this, Jim held the same roles at RateGenius, a leading online marketplace and origination services platform for automotive refinancing.

Before joining RateGenius, Jim worked at EZCorp as the Senior Director and Associate General Counsel, where they provided legal support to the company's North American and Canadian operations. Jim (James) also managed company-wide litigation strategy, oversaw regulatory compliance, and collaborated with the marketing team to ensure adherence to guidelines and standards.

Earlier in their career, Jim served as Corporate Counsel at BBVA Compass Bank and gained valuable experience in commercial lending and real estate transactions. Jim (James) started their legal career as an Associate Attorney at Hughes Watters Askanase, LLP, where they handled compliance, transactional, and litigation matters for financial institutions. Jim also worked as a Summer Associate at Hill Rivkins & Hayden LLP and as a Law Clerk at Calvert & Associates.
