Melissa Beltrán Knutsen is an experienced architectural designer currently employed at Schemmer since February 2022. Previously, Melissa co-founded AFRO STUDIO, where responsibilities included developing detailed design drawings and coordinating with team members. As a self-employed architectural designer from November 2018 to April 2020, Melissa proposed preliminary plans and prepared construction documents. Melissa also managed rental properties for a family-owned business and contributed volunteer services to Habitat for Humanity International. Additional roles include assisting in the education program at the Museum of History, Anthropology and Art and coordinating volunteers for the Campechada Festival at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico. Melissa holds a Master of Architecture (M.Arch.) and a degree in Art History from Universidad de Puerto Rico.
