Raffaele Camasta

Raffaele Camasta has a diverse work experience starting from an internship as an analyst at the Medical Analysis Laboratory "Prato della Valle" in 2004. Raffaele then conducted research as a graduate researcher at the University of Freiburg, specializing in the proteomics of yeast peroxisomes. Raffaele continued their research as a graduate researcher at the University of Waterloo, where they focused on mitochondrial dysfunction and its connection to secondary functions of assembly factors. During this time, they also worked as a teaching assistant, gaining experience in effectively communicating complex concepts to students. Raffaele then transitioned into medical writing roles, initially as a medical content writer at Medical News Bulletin in 2018 and later as a project manager and medical writer at SAGE Renegade. Raffaele further advanced their career as a senior medical writer at Caudex in 2021 before assuming their current role as an Assistant Medical Director at The Scienomics Group in 2022.

From 2006 to 2009, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology at the Università degli Studi di Padova.

Between 2009 and 2012, they attended the Università degli Studi di Padova again, this time for a Master of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.

In 2011, they had a brief stint at The University of Freiburg for their Master of Science in Pharmaceutical Biotechnology.

Finally, from 2013 to 2018, Raffaele Camasta pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biology at the University of Waterloo.
