Derek Sobczak

Derek Sobczak is the SVP of Accounting at The Scion Group. Derek has over 20 years of experience in the field of accounting and has worked for some of the largest companies in the world. Derek began their career at Equity Office Properties in 1988 and quickly rose through the ranks to become the Controller. In 2008, they left Equity Office Properties to start their own consulting firm, CTS Holdings, Inc. which they ran for three years. In 2011, they joined General Growth Properties as the VP of Property Accounting and held that position for five years. In 2016, they joined The Scion Group as the SVP of Accounting.

Derek Sobczak attended Saint Xavier University.

Jeff Vittorio - Director, Accounting, Katie Schlesak - Director, Accounts Payable, and Erika Garcia - Director, Property Systems report to Derek Sobczak. Derek Sobczak reports to Monte Huber, Chief Financial Officer. They work with Carlos Gonzalez - VP, Asset Management, John Carr - VP, FP&A, and Marc Killips - VP, Facilities and Capital.
