Alistair Hann

Alistair Hann is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Chief Technology Officer for The Scottish Government since May 2022. Prior to this role, Alistair held the position of Chief Technology Officer at NDS Scotland from June 2018 to May 2022, contributing to the development of the National Digital Platform as part of the Health and Digital Care Strategy. Alistair has also provided technical advisory services for various startups and served as Technical Fellow and CTO at Skyscanner, where responsibilities included overseeing technical strategy and product architecture. Alistair co-founded Zoombu and played multiple roles in academia, including Non-Stipendiary Lecturer and Stipendiary Lecturer at the University of Oxford, where research focused on biomedical engineering topics. Alistair holds a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Oxford, along with a Master’s degree in Engineering Science.
