Head Of Artificial Intelligence And Data Science at The Scottish Government

Jeremy Darot serves as the Head of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at The Scottish Government since November 2015, where the role includes leading Scotland’s AI strategy and enhancing the Scottish AI Alliance. Previous positions held at The Scottish Government consist of Head of Data Policy and Head of Data Innovation, where significant contributions were made to data sharing, legislation, digital ethics, and scaling transformative data capability programs. Prior to these roles, Jeremy worked as a statistician for the Forestry Commission and the Scottish Government, and has extensive experience in academic research with roles at renowned institutions such as the University of Cambridge and MIT, focusing on computational biology and revenue management algorithms for airlines. Jeremy holds an MPhil in Computational Biology from the University of Cambridge, an MS in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT, and a Diplome d'Ingenieur in Engineering from ENSTA.
