Simon Mair

Simon Mair currently serves as the Deputy Director for public service reform at The Scottish Government since January 2022, following a role as Head of Delivery Assurance for Early Learning and Childcare, where collaboration with Local Authorities was focused on implementing the 1140 hours childcare expansion across Scotland. Previous experience includes positions such as School Improvement and Planning Manager and Primary Schools Improvement Programme Lead at East Dunbartonshire Council, along with roles like Visibility Manager for the EU-China Trade Project and Project Manager at DEVELOPMENT Solutions. Simon Mair's career began in business development and product development at P3 Publishing. Educational qualifications include a BA in Chinese and Politics from the University of Leeds and studies at Tianjin Normal University.
