Nick McDowell has a diverse work experience in the entertainment industry. Nick is currently an actor at Dream Team Talent, Inc. since February 2022. Previously, they worked as a keyholder and fill-in manager at The Second City starting in November 2021. Nick also has experience as a writer, actor, and improviser through freelance work since June 2015. Additionally, Nick has worked as an exhibit attendant at Immersive Van Gogh Chicago from February to November 2021 and as a poll worker at the Chicago Board of Elections in October and November 2020. From October 2015 to September 2020, they worked as a server at The Second City. Nick was also the founder, producer, and ensemble member at Breakfast of Champions Improv from October 2016 to March 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a production assistant, writing tutor at City Colleges of Chicago, and as an actor and writer at Huggable Riot from January 2017 to April 2019.
Nick McDowell obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Comedy Writing and Performance & Fiction Writing from Columbia College Chicago, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Before that, they completed their high school education at Belvidere North High School from 2007 to 2011, where they focused on English, Journalism, Music, and Theater. In 2015, they enrolled in The Second City's Conservatory Program, and in 2016, they pursued writing training at The Second City. In 2022, Nick joined the Writers' Assistant Lab to further develop their skills in writing as a Writers' Assistant and Writers' PA Workshop participant. Nick McDowell also holds the ServSafe Food Handler certification, although the institution and date of certification are not provided.
