Hopi Moodie has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. They started their career at Amnesty International USA, where they worked in the Crisis Communications and Response Unit, organizing events and liaising with elected officials. They then moved to Africa Peace Forum as a Program Assistant, leading the implementation of the Responsibility to Protect initiative. After that, they worked at The SEED Foundation as an Associate, supporting fundraising and building stakeholder relationships. They then joined Arrow Global Group PLC as the Chief of Staff, Senior Business Development Manager, and Head of Marketing and Communications, where they were responsible for creating marketing strategies, managing deal pipelines, and building relationships. Finally, they returned to The SEED Foundation as the Director of Strategic Initiatives and Special Projects, focusing on setting strategy and driving execution.

Hopi Moodie completed a Transformational Leadership Programme at the University of Cambridge in an unknown year, and finished a Master's Degree at the University of Birmingham in 2003. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's Degree from The University of British Columbia in 2002. In the year 2000, they participated in a Universitas 21 Exchange program at the University of Nottingham.
